I bought a pair of blue balls today & Control Your Woman Remote

I didn't take any pics of what I bought today so just adding some Amazon pics.

I bought a set of blue balls (similar to this) for $1 -you put them in your dryer instead of a fabric softening sheet

And for .50 I bought this Control Your Woman remote control. I will resell it of course.

Down the street, there was a yardsale with a bunch of Wii stuff and I was able to buy a set of controllers for $10 (which I needed for my Japanese Wii which did not come with any). At the same sale, I also bought two Wii Sports games ($1 each). So until DH buys the computer chip to install in our Wii, the game won't work (unless we start buying Japanese Wii games, which we are not planning on doing). So that means I have a total of $21 invested so far in this Wii. The sale was advertised as an "empty nester" yardsale. The kids were all in college and took their Wiis with them (apparently the family said they had a total of 4 Wiis in their house and they all used to play together. So now that the kids have left and took what they wanted, the parents had all this leftover electronics.

My other good buy today was 4 new (unopened) containers of Bare Escentuals make-up for $1 each, some bubble bath $1, and some bath salts $1. Also bought a quilt for $5. It's not a hand-made one. Will try to add a pic later.
==================

I did two interviews this week. One for a frugality related book that will be out in the spring. Will post when I find out the details. And I also did a newspaper interview for the Baltimore Sun's B newspaper It's a daily freebie newspaper available in the Baltimore area and is geared toward readers from 18-34. Which of course, is sooooo me!!!

==========
I got an email from Royal Caribbean today, they are trying to fill up a cruise leaving out of Baltimore on Oct. 10. A 7 night cruise to the Bahamas for $299. I want to go so bad, but I can't due to my husband's work schedule for that week. I would love to go on another "girl's trip" and leave the guys and kid(s) at home. It's been almost a year since I cruised to Bermuda with my sister.

I would love to know if those blue balls actually work . . .

Wow, I wouldn't mind going on a 7-day cruise to the Bahamas for $299. Wow! Not sure my husband could watch the kids for a week, though.

$299! That's a steal! You should totally go. Sell that Japanese Wii and your ticket is half paid for!

Zdub - the timing conflicts with my husband's man-cation to Las Vegas. So since legally we cannot leave Jacob home alone for a week, one of us has to stay here.
