Yea! I am back baby!

I last wrote a blog post in 2023. No, I haven't been in a coma for the past 3 years. I sorta just took a website/blog break. Now that I've remembered my blog password, at least I definitely will be blogging more again. Maybe I'll even get some of my old message board members to read this. Things are pretty much the same....still selling at the local fairgrounds on Saturdays where the rental spot is still just an amazing price of only $10 a space. I still buy stuff I don't need, still sell on ebay despite my love/hate relationship with it. My house is still like an archeological dig. When I open a box or bag, it's a big surprise what I will find. "Oh yeah, I remember buying that" or sometimes it's "I have no memory of buying this at all". Besides the usual shopping, in the past two years I have managed to do 6 yardsales at my childhood home in upstate NY. Very hard to organize and prepare long distance. Also difficult when family members give you restrictions like "don't call it an estate sale, call it a garage sale", "do not let random strangers in the house like a typical estate sale", "we can't hire an estate sale company, they'll take too much money". That's some of the stuff I've been told. So despite that, I'm proud of the garage sales I've had since I had there was a lot to go thru. So....long story short, had a mini disaster at my NY house this past February when during a particularly cold winter, the furnace unexpectantly shut off, which led to broken water pipes and flooding. We thought we had taken all the right precautions. It might have been a blessing in disguise because insurance is covering the repairs and it,s looking like a new house inside. I will be sad when it's time to sell it, which will probably happen by the end of the year. But the money will pay for a lot of hotel rooms whenever I want to visit. See you again here in 2029. Just kidding (I hope). Note to self: figure out how to make separate paragraphs. I know I used to be able to.
