I did do some decluttering the other day. I recycled Jacob's baby wipe containers that I've had stored away for the last decade. And my husband thinks I never get rid of anything. Yeah right.
I'm Chris and I am addicted to yard sales, garage sales, thrift stores and bargain hunting in general. Visit my site yardsalequeen.com - which I started in 1996. "Smile" and "VV" (Vintage Value) are the names of two thrift stores I regularly shop at. I grew up in Clifton Park NY but now live in Lusby, MD. I also lived in other exciting locales such as Schenectady, Watervliet (NY), and Charleston, SC.

Pencils are obsolete
"Pencils are obsolete" - that is what one yardsale seller told me yesterday as he sold me an electric pencil sharpener for a quarter. Personally I believe pencils will be around for at least 2 or 3 more years, so I bought it.

Ten years ago you likely could not have recycled those containers...so good on you for hanging on to them until you could recycle them (tell that to your husband next time you hang on to something :))
ReplyDeleteBesides, there's only like eight of them, so it's not as if you saved everyone of them!
ReplyDeleteEM - you're right. Some of them I am actually still using (for storage of small items)
ReplyDeleteI remember those things back when my kids were young-very handy storage! The baby food jars were awesome too for holding nails & screws. I still use them and have them all on a small lazy Susan in the garage...good times!

At the first race with the new Silverstone pit complex last season the garages of Red Bull, McLaren,
ReplyDeleteFerrari and to some extent Mercedes disappeared into the unusual ‘railway cutting’ at the far end of the pitlane,
and could not be seen from the spectator area opposite.
