I'm Chris and I am addicted to yard sales, garage sales, thrift stores and bargain hunting in general. Visit my site yardsalequeen.com - which I started in 1996. "Smile" and "VV" (Vintage Value) are the names of two thrift stores I regularly shop at. I grew up in Clifton Park NY but now live in Lusby, MD. I also lived in other exciting locales such as Schenectady, Watervliet (NY), and Charleston, SC.

Welcome to a new addition to the family - a new baby!
We added a new addition to the family over the weekend. Say hello to our baby laptop. Jacob has bonded with it already. (It's the one that is on the cover of the Target ad this week for $199. But I did use a "Save $5 off a $75 purchase" coupon I had). And we do call it the "baby laptop" since it is baby sized compared to our full sized laptop. So now the computers in the house outnumber the humans.
And on the drive home from Target, Jacob saw a dog in a car next to us and for the first time since Whiskey went to the big dog park in the sky (a little over a year ago), he said he wanted a dog.
Congrats on your new addition! I was actually hoping the announcement would be your new dog. I am glad Jacob seems ready, but is Mommy? It just might be time to head up to PF just to visit the doggies...
ReplyDeleteDH and I are not in agreement over a dog. I want to get a used dog - a mature dog that's well past the "chewing on woodwork" stage of life. DH - who works fulltime and is not home during the day - wants a puppy.
ReplyDeleteWe got a used dog a few months ago and he was almost a year old. He has just enough puppy in him to be annoying with the chewing, but with 3 kids 4 and under, he basically has an all-you-can-eat buffet of toys to chew on. We keep him occupied with a cows worth of rawhide bones, but could only imagine how much more trouble I would have been in with a little puppy!
ReplyDeleteDon't trust your husband with the puppy talk. I bet it's a conspiracy to clear out your treasures. He is undoubtedly hoping that a puppy will chew everything in site and you will then be forced to get rid of it.
