I'm Chris and I am addicted to yard sales, garage sales, thrift stores and bargain hunting in general. Visit my site yardsalequeen.com - which I started in 1996. "Smile" and "VV" (Vintage Value) are the names of two thrift stores I regularly shop at. I grew up in Clifton Park NY but now live in Lusby, MD. I also lived in other exciting locales such as Schenectady, Watervliet (NY), and Charleston, SC.

Chicken Paws - chicken PAWS??
The local grocery store (Food Lion) will sell bags of stuff like chicken necks (used by people who go crabbing) but this was a first for me. Seeing chicken paws (???) for sale in the grocery store. I didn't know chickens had paws. Even though they were clearanced, I did not buy. After doing extensive research, I see many different cultures eat chicken feet but no wikipedia reference exists on the rare chicken paw.
Here's something else I didn't buy - a Valentine's Day cake in January. Is it just me, or does it look scary? I've already submitted it to Cake Wrecks
I did stock up on .25 Arizona Iced Teas at Walgreens. There were two flavors that were on clearance for .25 can/bottle. I wouldn't think of drinking iced tea (yuck) but DH drinks the stuff.
The cake definitely looks like it should be titled "OH NO - MR. BILL!" ...sorry - I guess I'm dating myself... 8-)
ReplyDeleteiced tea is the shiz
ReplyDeleteChicken feet (?paws) are supposed to be EXCELLENT for making chicken stock...can't get them where I live, or I would try them, lol.
ReplyDeleteChicken PAWS??! That is nuts!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm very proud of you for not buying the chicken paws even though the were on sale. :)
ReplyDeleteI bet that cake ends up on their site; it's HIDEOUS.
